The 2009 Ninja 500R was the last model year of the Ninja 500 before the line was dropped, closing out the 1994 - 2009 redesign. It kept the 498 cc liquid-cooled twin, half fairing and UNI-TRAK-style rear suspension of the earlier models. Its features include an auxiliary cooling fan, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes and a side and centre stand.
